Knitted Mobius Twist Headband Ear Warmer Neck Warmer

Knitted Mobius Twist Headband / Ear Warmer / Neck Warmer in Merino Wool. Named after the Greek god of eternity Aion, my mobius headbands are available in a good range of colours. Knitted in the round as a tube they are double thickness, crafted in super soft Spanish 100% pure merino wool making them comfortable and cosy to wear.

Show the mobius twist on the crown or turn it to the back of the neck for a smooth band as shown in the photos for the viva magenta colourway. They are equally cosy worn as a compact neck warmer under a jacket or coat.

Aion is knitted on a 1900’s cast iron circular sock machine in my Cornwall UK studio and the loop with a half twist is hand grafted to complete the circle.

Mobius is renowned as a mathematical object but first appeared in Roman mosaics from the third century CE. ‘The Möbius strip is a non-orientable surface, meaning that within it one cannot consistently distinguish clockwise from counterclockwise turns. Every non-orientable surface contains a Möbius strip.’

Merino wool is considered hypoallergenic because its fine fibers are soft and less irritating to the skin, and it is also certified as asthma and allergy-friendly.

Being a protein-based fibre made of keratin (the same as human hair), wool helps regulate our body temperature, reducing risk of overheating. It allows the skin to breathe naturally helping to prevent sweating, allowing the body to find a natural equilibrium. Merino wool is also a natural, renewable, and biodegradable fibre.

Hand wash, rinse with water or similar temperature. Press in a towel, pull into shape and dry flat.
